DMASS Appoints New Steering Board

General Assembly of DMASS elects Hermann Reiter, Dietmar Jaeger and Frank Wolinski as their new steering board. Georg Steinberger (Avnet) to step down as Chairman after serving for 22 years.

London, October 28, 2021 – At their recent meeting, the General Assembly of members of DMASS Ltd. elected and appointed a new steering board, after long-term Chairman Georg Steinberger (Avnet) decided to step down. Members elected Hermann W. Reiter (Digi-Key) to Chairman and Dietmar Jaeger (TDK Electronics) and Frank Wolinski (STMicroelectronics) to Vice Chairmen, overseeing strategic, administrative and operational activities of the well-renowned components distribution organisation, going forward.

DMASS was founded in 1989 and collates detailed distribution market data on semiconductors, interconnect, passive and electromechanical components on a quarterly basis by country and product groups.

Hermann Reiter commented on his new role: “I am honoured to help guiding DMASS forward to enable our members and the industry to better understand trends and opportunities that this exciting technology of electronic components provides. We have reached a level of coverage and depth of market understanding that is unprecedented in the global components industry.”

Reiter and his colleagues thanked Steinberger for his long-term leadership: “Georg is not only an industry veteran of 34 years of experience, for the last 22 years he committed himself to make DMASS the profound source of data for its members across Europe. Without him driving statistical improvements and expansions as well as creating regular press releases and talking points for journalists, manufacturers, distributors, customers and also other industry bodies, DMASS would not be the same.”
